Rental Manager - Specialty Equipment - Covington, LA

The Scott Specialty Rental Division has been established to provide hard to find equipment for the natural disaster, waste, right of way / pipeline maintenance and demolition industries. The Specialty Rental Division of Scott Equipment is looking for a high-energy, self-starting person to join our team to coordinate and manage daily tasks and operations. As knowledge of the business grows, so will the day-to-day responsibilities.


The Rental Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Monitoring and confirming financial condition of the branch by conducting internal audits
  • Analyze variances
  • Collect and report other pertinent information to management in order to achieve budgetary objectives
  • Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls
  • Overseeing and/or entering all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly accruals
  • Overseeing timecards to ensure accurate payroll entry
  • Answer calls, keeping a call / missed rent log
  • Weekly inventory audits which also include tracking PM schedules for the rental fleet
  • Registering warranty on all new equipment
  • Monitor equipment returns and conduct a walk around to inspect for damages
  • Coordinate parts orders and service calls.


This individual must be open to travel for training, trade shows, etc.


Bachelor’s Degree

Accounting and/or Financial Analysis background preferred

Strong Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

Excellent communication skills
